Just copy the Olight or Acebeam E-switch UI. Very easy to use… Very intuitive…

Acebeam L18, Armytek Prime C1 Pro, Armytek Prime C2 Pro, Armytek Tiara C1 Pro, Astrolux MF01 Mini, BLF Q8, BLF A6, BLF FW1A, BLF FW3A, BLF FW3C, BLF LT1, Convoy L6, Convoy C8+ , Convoy S3, Emisar D4, Fireflies E07, Jaxman E2L, Manta Ray C8.2 long version, Olight S1R Baton II special edition series, S2R Baton II, Olight Baton 3, Olight Warrior Mini, Olight M2R Pro Warrior.

Most of them have been modded! =)

Two switches. Tail for momentary turbo only, side for fancy mode-rich use. Both operate independently (side is NOT a “switch mode switch” but can operate the light itself, like in e.g Olight M2R). Tail switch always overrules side switch. No mode memory.

LMHTLMHT with shortcut to T and start at L. Can also have the option for memory and then need shortcut to L as well. Also a strobe shortcut if those modes are on the light is nice and even better if strobe has it’s own setup like three clicks to go to strobe and then you cycle through them like the preferred method.

I really like the Skilhunt H03 user interface. Just need a bit better lockout than long click. Like triple click. And forget strobe.

Triple click is shit for a fire starter.

My 2yo son triple clicked my MS12 whilst it was face down on the carpet….

I think the H03 interface is about as good as it gets. I’m thinking a lot of the posters on this thread haven’t tried one.

One slow click from off takes you to moonlight.
Two fast clicks from off takes you to turbo.
You can set up your choice of eight levels (in four steps) between the two.
You can use one long click to lock out, or mechanically lock out at the tail cap.
How much better could it get?

I’d be disappointed if Skilhunt changed it.

Out of those two, I prefer LMHTLMHT. It’s easier and quicker to get back to a low setting and as it was said before, you don’t know if the light is going to get brighter or dimmer when you pick it up.

With a stepped mode light, I would prefer Hold from off to get Moon, hold to scroll through LMHLMH, double click to Turbo whether on or off and a single press to turn it off. That would suit me just fine.

And if someone could program entering from moonlight to low, med, hi as to not have the memory.

That is to say:
- single click ON or Off
- from ON hold to scroll thru Low, Med, and High – with memory
- Double click from ON or Off for Turbo
- from OFF long press for Moonlight, long re-click and hold to advance to Low, Med, High – no memory
- Triple click for Lockout.

IF we’re talking about an e-switch UI here, the most important points for me, which Skilhunt lights get wrong are:

  • A single click should always toggle on/off
  • A single click from off should always be a reasonable mode. It can be a medium mode, a manually configured mode, or mode memory
  • There should be shortcuts from off to lowest and highest
  • Shortcut modes should be excluded from memory, if there’s memory

Mode order is less of a concern, though it should be predictable, so L -> M -> H -> L -> M -> H is better than something that reverses direction.
