WTS: [UK only] Astrolux MF01 18x Nichia 219C NW with Lexel driver (needs soldering)

After I bought this light, I removed the brass contact ring and the original driver board so I could install Lexel’s ramping driver (OSH park NarsilM). But then I realised that my brain finds the thought of soldering far too daunting (I’m autistic, and it’s one of those things I just can’t handle).

Instructions how to install the driver can be found here.

The light was only used three times for walking my dog at night. N̶o̶t̶ ̶s̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶s̶e̶n̶s̶i̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶p̶r̶i̶c̶e̶ ̶w̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶b̶e̶,̶ ̶s̶o̶ ̶I̶’̶m̶ ̶o̶p̶e̶n̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶o̶f̶f̶e̶r̶s̶.̶

I’ll take £45 for delivery via Hermes or £48 for delivery via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded.

With original box, two spare O-rings, lanyard, tripod mount screw and manual. I’ll also include the original driver board.

If it’s basic cable soldering with easy access i could do the soldering for you? Would cost you the postage unless you’re South West way, and if i mess anything up i’d obv be responsible. But if it’s just switch/LED cables on to the board i should be alright.

The wires need to be soldered to be the pads, but ideally I̶’̶d̶ ̶w̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ they should be replaced with a heavier gauge for a higher amp draw. And some of the traces need to be cut.

EDIT:

On the other hand, I already have the MF01S which is very similar just with a slightly higher output and better thermal management. And although I prefer the tint of the 219C LEDs to SST-20s, I’d rather take the easier route and leave any tinkering around to an enthusiast. The other factor why I’d like to sell the torch is that I don’t really have any use for it except for showing off. When I walk my dog at night, I prefer a small single-cell light, and I’ll probably sell the MF01S as well after I’ve played around with it a bit more.

The MF01 is currently retailing at £91.15, and the Euro exchange rate at the time meant that I paid about £17 for the driver (now more like £19). So I think that £50 including delivery via courier or an additional £3 for 1st class recorded is a more than fair price. Will edit my post to reflect that.

Updated the price - £45 including both driver boards and free UK delivery. That’s the lowest I’ll be offering this 11,000 lumens monster for.

That’s fair enough, you know your own capabilities
The offer’s there if you find you change your mind, but at that price i don’t see the light hanging around too long. I’m tempted even though i know i’d never use it!

It’s a great light, and IMO the rosy tint of those 219Cs is the most beautiful of any light that I’ve owned. But it’s just not handy for my daily half-hour dog walks which are along a narrow path where such a floody light isn’t really very useful, and the capacity of a single cell is enough for me. I’m also trying to save up for a business venture, so I’ve been selling everything that I don’t absolutely need.
