Headlamps -- I don't need no stinking headlamp;-)

Just got my first quality headlamp and I haven’t even put it in its headband yet and I am very happy! I walk 2 dogs late at night and have to pick up lots and lots of poop while managing a Rottweiler and a Terrier mix. Hands free is much better than my typical lights (anything from a Ti3 to a C8) which still have to be held somehow. When I am in a mood to wear a brimmed cap there are a couple of lights that clip to the brim and this is very nice. However, it is getting cold and frankly I don’t much like wearing a brimmed hat anyway. The headlamps I have are too bulky or too poor of light quality or just uncomfortable so I ordered a Tierra and a TH20 to try. The TH20 came the other day and I am thrilled!

Anyone here a Swedish vet that can tell me what is supposed to go on that patch on my parka?

Certainly more comfortable than a headband!

Stylish too

Years ago, when I was first getting into flashlights I bought a Xeno E03 to give to a customer. I ordered a couple of clips from the Fenix store as I was planning on getting another E03 for myself. Did not do that but somehow managed to find the clip. Works perfectly with the TH20 and now may be my new EDC in addition to being my hands free dog walking light.

I am one step behind you. No headlamps, redolent or otherwise. I mouth hold Olight S2 Baton with black electrical tape where my incisors go, when I feel like not having a light in my hand, which ain't too often. I am open to one, if 21700 with three XHP35 in medium sized reflector wells, to yield nice throw and lumen specs, so I can have in one hand R90TS or X65, and the other hand free for latching onto my anti-dangerous animal ambush defensive system, while walking in the jungle that is Americas' residential suburban neighborhood.

I always wear the same hat when I go hiking or camping, so I put the adjustment straps through the headlamp holder. It works great. I just put the hat on backwards when I want to mount the headlamp. It's more comfortable than a band.

My original plan was to take the extra holder that came with the TH20 and sew it to my stocking hat as I always wear that in winter. The clip was an accident and I like it. What light is that?

Great idea BTW! Actually you could make a case that is the way hats are supposed to be. Brim to shield from the light, back to provide it.

It’s a Zebralight H52.
I’ve had really good luck with it. I edc an SC52, and love Zebralights. I somehow ended up with 7 of them, LOL.
I’m glad you like the idea. I find it to be pretty practical.

Never thought of doing that, great idea.

Thank you.
I’ve worn a bone conduction hearing aid since I was a kid. The headlamp band always seems to interfere with it, when worn with a hat, so this
way of wearing the headlamp works out great. I can still wear the hearing aid, and my hat and the headlamp. I can hear and see at the same time, LOL.
