Hey I’ve got a new light in the mail but I’m having trouble finding what batteries are a good fit. What worked for you guys?

You need button top cells for proper contact. The VTC6 is the best button top I can find
Doesn’t need to be massive high drain cells. I run mine on 6A LGF1 cells. It appears they got rid of the battery carrier, and now use the ring driver . In which case, you need button top cells. This is the old batt carrier style they used to use where only flat tops worked.
So yeah, button top type cells are what you want. If you don’t buy them from FF (good price if they are authentic), https://18650canada.com/ carries some. Those GA’s they sell would work fine.
Flat top VTC6 are working fine in both of my ROT66 g2. No lumen measurements though.
