A6 vs S2+*Rumble In Tha Jungle*

My first ever light from 2019 was the Manker BLF A6. I noticed the A6 head splits in 2 pieces but the S2+ is just 1 piece. Wonder why that is? Maybe cut cost down? I prefer the Manker 2 piece one. Makes it easier to get at parts. Plus that A6 looks high quality.

No. S2+ has a screw-in pill, A6 has an integrated shelf.

The S2(+) is more versatile with different sizes of pill’s and reflectors.
Because there is a whole “chain” of parts that’s pushed and fixated from the rear.
The A6 only can handle a reflector or TIR with the same length as the original.

The S2(+) is a lot more forgiving light for a beginning modder.
My personal opinion about the A6 is: IF it works, don’t fix it, leave it the way it is.
The FW3A is fairly critical about tolerances, but a walk in the park compared to my A6.

Hey yeah now I get it. One’s customizable and the other one isn’t. Plus the pill vs intergrated. Yeah that’s what I thought of the A6 too. I was “Hmmmm looks mighty fine, color looks good, machining quite precise, handlle texture feels right, well nothing else to do here.”I remembered once at work where I pulled out the A6 to show coworker and she just stared at it for a good 5 secs like she saw a ghost.
I like the S2+ for the options you have. Its quite forgiving when it comes to modding. Sorta like an AK-47, takes a linking and keeps on ticking.
