Appearance, parameters

Tailcap is removable, it holds only on magnet (very strong magnet)

After detaching the tailcap, you can attach a flashlight by it's magnet. Holds tight.

But even without detaching the tailcap you can "stick" it. Holds loosely, but still holds.

You can also detach this glowing bezel, and spare o-rings are for this part.

If you want to know:

Yes, it can tailstand, especially after detaching the tailcap. But it is not meant to be a tailstanding flashlight, as EDC Pico.

And this turbo glowing gasket is some kind of ancient Maya technology, they were making dose even before making their famous calendars. I compared it here to famous glowing FW3A gadget.

After 7 min

After 25 min

After 45 min

And the Glow is so much better than the FW3A gadget (brighter, glows longer)

UI, runtime and charging

UI
1 mode 40lm. Turn on by tightening the tailcap. To be honest, I like 2 modes EDC Pico more, but on the other hand, here it is simpler, just 40lm. It is enough for every keychain light situation.

Runtime

Brightness drops slowly for an hour, to 50%, then drops quickly

Charging
Build-in charger, micro USB. To charge you need to unscrew the tailcap part, but both parts are holding together (different and better than in EDC Pico)

Charging indicates by a red light

Fully charged indicates by a green light.

PWM

I did not notice any

Waterproof

Uch, did not check... Declared IP68 so great. If it is the same waterproof as EDC Pico (probably yes), then great. But When unscrewing it to charge, I broke one o-ring and now it is not waterproof anymore. Some manufacturing problems, maybe sharp things inside cut this o-ring, it was not my fault. But it broke before waterproof test.

Not good...
Lumintop told me they will fix this problem. Let me know if you hat this issue.

Light pattern, tint

40lm and the beam pattern

TIR optics, the same as in EDC Pico. Because of this glowing gasket, a beam is slightly greenish on the edges.

Usage and my experiences

It is just a good keychain light. Nothing more to say. I am enjoying this glowing gasket, because it glows very bright and long. Strong tailcap magnet can be very useful too. 40lm is not that much, but just enough for keychain light. I think I will gift it to my brother. :)

Nitpicking
Everything about all shortcomings

1. After unscrewing it several times, the o-ring was cut in half by some sharp things inside the flashlight. Lumintop told me they will fix this issue, but if you break this o-ring, they will send you a new flashlight.

2. Tailcap holds on only by magnetic force. I don't trust it, because it is not as secure as a thread. But maybe I'm weird.

Summary

Lumintop GLOW I has a good glowing gasket, advertised as special army technology (special ancient Maya army technology. Special ancient Maya technology in parallel universe). It is really good, to be honest. Glows long and bright. What else? One 40lm mode, cold tint, micro-USB charging, strong magnet on the tailcap and price ~ USD23
Do i recommend it? For USD16 you can have EDC Pico that has 2 modes, is brighter and...and...idk. But for me it is worth buying only if you like glowing gadgets and like to have a strong tailcap magnet in keychain lights.

Pros:
+ Strong magnet
+ Good quality glowing gasket
+ When charging now you don't have to split it into two parts

Cons:
- In my case, o-ring was cut in half when unscrewing the tailcap for charging

About host - threads, knurling o-rings and so on
If they fix an issue with this o-ring, then Rating: 9/10

If not, then Rating: 5/10

About light - Tint and so on
Rating: 7/10

1 - very bad flashlight hurts to look at, terrible quality, not worth any (even very low) price
5 - average flashlight, at a reasonable price - for the average person "great". Or better flashlight, but overpriced
10 - flashlight meets all my expectations in a given category (e.g EDC, headlamp, thrower), it's durable and neatly made, perfect light tint, worth its (even slightly inflated) price - just pure perfect, so I doubt any light can get a 10 from me

I hope you enjoyed!

Nice review thank you. Does the glow head fit on the Pico?

It doesn’t fit on Pico, I cannot even unscrew its bezel.
