I just saw this posted on Reddit. And sure enough it’s an option on their website!

Neal’s is out of stock for the 219B. Has been for a while, unfortunately.

I had PL47 Nichia 219B unfortunately but the switch died. My questions:

1- What are the theoretical parameters of the PL47 version of the Nichia E21A (brightness and throw) compared to the PL47 of Nichia 219B?

2- Does the second generation PL47 have a different and better switch?

The gen 2 PL47 has a much improved button/switch in my opinion.

Do they use a CC driver for the E21a version ? Because a fet driver is going to fry them right ?

I hope Jack will chime in with details. A FET would likely destroy E21As instantly.

FYI: I ordered this and just got an email from Fireflies.

“Nichia E21A emitters arrived Yesterday, But we found it does not fit PL47G2 Optics, we can not use it on PL47G2.

Our Nichia 219B SW45 R9080 will arrive on 23th May.  If you agree, we can switch your order to PL47G2 Nichia 219B.”

The listing has been removed from their site too Sad

Same email. I’ll go with the 219B, but, was excited to try out E21As!

I’m just going to cancel I only wanted to taste the sweetness of E21a. Might mod a lumintop hl3a or acebeam h40 with 219b. Back to the drawing board…

I didn’t realize they were doing more with 219b emitters on any lights. This is awfully appealing, but I’m nearly two months in waiting on another light, now over 40 days without a tracking update, am reluctant to give it another try with regular post, and can’t bring myself to pay over 50% of the lights cost for DHL.

I have an E07 with the 219b, it is glorious. One of the aux lights died in the switch. It’s driving my OCD crazy.

That would probably get to me too and is the exact same light/emitters I’m waiting on. Have you tried to reach out to Jack?

No, I’ve had it for awhile and got it from Neals Gadgets. I did ask if I can get some of those E21a emmiters if they’re not using them. Haven’t gotten a reply yet.
