2S would need a buck driver since sbt90 is a 3v emitter. You’d be better off with 2P arrangement if you want multiple cells.
Ant 3V driver will run the sbt90, but for high performance Lexel makes nice drivers, so does Mountain electronics. Definitely want one with thermal management. For a host, anything that’s got good heatsinking. You’ll want a fairly large host for it. I don’t know if Nightwatch makes a host for it?
Sorry I may not have been very clear I waited to build a flashlight using the sbt90.2 as the Led and was looking for a driver and host.
Edit: Yes I have looked at the K1 and currently that is the only lights of Hanks that I don’t own. I’m sure eventually I will own one because it looks badass, but I’m just after a build being that i already have the led.
There are not going to be a lot of choices that make sense unless you already own the light. It has to have a (very) good heat path and suitable reflector.
Tossing both those points aside (cause it probably has a meager brass pill) put one in the brand new Convoy Z1 and tell us how it works out.
This led generate a lot of heat, so you need big, massive host to get the most from this led.
Otherwise you’ll finish with under driven, poor performing light.
