Fenix E12 V2.0

Anyone have one of these yet?

Nice size and design, but I’m not awed by the runtimes. I’m just wondering if anyone has one of these in the hand and can offer an opinion about it.

I was going to order one yesterday, but then I discovered my phone battery had crapped the bed so I had to order one of those instead.

Looks solid and simple though, and a good price for a gift light. I’ll probably grab one in tandem with the E01 v2 when those are finally available.

Thanks for the heads-up on this, didn’t notice it before! Although it almost matches the price of the 2xAA light they also released some time ago!

Anyway, this seems a nice light

I was likewise thinking the stated runtime of 1 hr. on high at 160 lumens seems pretty short. The 2xAA version is showing 11.1 hrs. on medium at 150 lumens: Fenix E20 V2.0 EDC Flashlight - 350 Lumens - Fenix Store so this doesn’t make sense to me. I also noticed that both lights are showing runtimes with alkalines, so presumably NiMH would yield better results.

I’m interested in picking up one of these as I have the E20 V2.0 (2xAA version) and like it. But I want to find out more about the runtime issue first. I haven’t seen any reviews so far, so please post a link if you have any. Also, what are the opinions of the MATCH CA18 emitter?

I also tried going to the Fenix manufacturer website for more info.: fenixlight.com, but Malwarebytes blocks it due to a trojan! What’s that all about?

Thanks,

Andrew

Try this one!

About the runtime, if it maintain the 160lumens for that amount of time…that would be nice
But I am sure it will decrease somewhere in the middle !!

Thanks, MascaratumB, for the post and link. But your link is to the Fenix Store and I was actually referencing the Fenix manufacturer’s website, which is different (and blocked!): fenixlight.com

Malwarebytes is blocking it for me, so I don’t know what happens if you try to access it without Malwarebytes—-but not sure I’d recommend it due to the “trojan” warning I’m getting!

I had the same problem 2 weeks ago on the Fenix site. I granted permission to open anyway and haven’t had any problems. My computer was scanned last night and found no threats.

I actually want to buy the E12 v2.0 to mod into a cool little EDC pocket rocket. nothing too crazy but a nice hi cri led on a dtm copper pad and a driver swap that will allow for 14500 batteries. Anyone have suggestions on a driver that will work with both AA and 14500?
