Convoy M1 and C8+ (XPL-HI LED): how to modify the "bike mode"

Hello all
My M1 do have so called “bike mode”(If I am not wrong). I mean “delicate” short strobe with a pause around ~3 seconds. I like it. The problem is, it doesn’t work with 100% LED output (50%, at best). Is there any possibility to modify(boost) this mode to the max output? For the M1, as well as for the C8+. Is it possibe at all?

*I am using the self-made visor made from half-transparent plastic to avoid blinding ppl. Thanks

What driver do you have in your M1? If it has biscotti firmware, it’s open source and can be modified however you like and then reflashed to the driver. You need to unsolder MCPCB, unscrew retaining ring, remove the driver and program it. Tools required are: pliers, soldering iron, programming clip, programming adapter (usbasp).

Thanks! I don’t know what driver. AFAIR, I bought my M1 light in the local shop. How it can be identified?
Anyway, I am thinking about ditching M1 and getting something more powerful for my road bicycle. I need a flashlight which will be able to “over illuminate” a road lights (e.g. highway lights – usually dim, yellowish light coming, if I’m not wrong, from a gas discharge lamps). To put it simply, a flashligh should be to beat ambient lighting (my case) on asphalt. So I need FL with a really strong beam on a distance 5-10 meters. Of course I will add a DIY visor(top cover over flashligh head) to avoid blinding people and motorists. I think that one 18650 battery is enough as a power source for my needs.
At first I thought about C8+ model. But now, I am not sure. Too much choice Smile

Maybe just install second, more throwy, flashlight? E.g. C8+ with osram white flat is really good thrower, 140kcd. But it has very tight hotspot, I don’t know if it will suit your needs.
