With high CRI?

Is anybody away of a micro light similar to the LRI Photon series which uses a warm or even better, a high CRI LED? I know Nitecore has the Tip CRI but I’m looking for something more… micro.

Alternatively, has anybody swapped the LED on a Photon Freedom? Any tricks?

yes
no

Just Do It!

Maybe buy some 5mm leds from rngwn and swap it I just bought some cheapo look alike and followed contactcr’s footsteps. The swap is straightforward really you just need to bend the legs similar to the one you removed

Much better: Nitecore Tube. Rechargable, USB port, small, nice UI. Almost a must for nrgwn’s 32K-C-EX.

Ditto for nitecore tube plus klaurus mi2, almost same features, smoother and easier ramping, can ramp anytime unlike tube which has to ramp right after turn on. And klaurus has neat (for some) fade on fade off.
Use good screwdriver, the screws are flimsy and will “strip” (at the head not the threads) on both
