Hey everyone, I have been looking online for LED PCB’s but I can’t seem to find any for the Nichia E17A.
Im looking for something around 8-12 mm, and good thermals as it’ll be on for hours at a time.
I live in Australia and Virence has been permanently out of stock and just isn’t shipping as of the current moment.
I’m thinking about getting a custom PCB made with a site like jlcpcb.
Does anyone have any information that can help; whether about buying already made ones or a design guide?
Be aware that E21a and E17A are reported to be more difficult to solder than other LED’s, and Clemence’s ultra thin solder mask MCPCB’s even more so. You could get a quad 16mm PCB and file it down, and Clemence will do the reflow himself, but you would still need to be careful when filing not to damage the mask.
Also, E17A is extremely close in dimensions to a Cree XQ-E, so I suspect boards made for that LED, if you can find an appropriate size, will work for the E17A.
