Acebeam L17 VS. Amutorch TC500 (Thrower Duel)

Comparable lumens, similar light color and a comparable price point yet two different approaches to throw light into the far distance. I try to show the difference between the two lights in my video:

Hmm, not bad.

Does the Amotorch have more spill at the expense of the hotspot, or do they seem comparable?

The L17 has a brighter hotspot;the Amutorch invests some lumens into the spill.

Kewl, tnx!

I wanted a nice low-spill thrower that wouldn’t project The Bat Signal down the road. And without the expense of a LEP.

The L17 creates a very focused stage light, clean, no corner, no batsignal. Little spill, very soft spill. I think it came out in the video.

The L17 is a useful tool, not a laser showlight.

Does anyone make a light like the L17 but with an even bigger TIR so more like the size of the Amutorch with a larger TIR that replaces that reflector?

There is a Acebeam L18

I think L17’s turbo drop too fast but L18 is even worse with 15 seconds turbo and too blue tint.
