Lumintop HL3A shorty tube?

I like the 18350 form-factor. I was wondering if there is a shorty tube available for the HL3A?

I take it that the FW3A 18350 tubes are not compatible.

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately not compatible. The hl3a has a smaller tube due to the fact it has no internal electrical signal transfer tube.

Hl3a is unbelievably small for a 18650 powered, triple emitter light. By far my favorite edc light ever. The lack of an electrical signal transfer tube, but still having a switch that’s easy to find on the end, makes it pretty much perfect. That said, it would be pretty awesome with a shorty tube.

I wish lumintop would do a whole series of lights based on the hl3a but sized appropriately for the cell. I.E. 14500 light would be 2 emitters instead of 3 so it could stay super skinny, and a 10440 angle light with a single emitter could be like 2” long and 13mm diameter.

Thank you for the reply, mr_magoo!

Its a great light but the switch is just awful, its almost guaranteed it will activate in your pocket. And you can’t slightly unscrew the head like I do with my D4S.

Yep same as the fw3a, way too easy to activate. I dont know why they didnt anodize the threads for easy lockout with a twist if the head

I always electronically lock it out, but I’ve always felt 4 clicks to lockout was excessive. Maybe I’ll try to reprogram to anduril 2 to get it’s 3 click lockout.

When I get a few hours to work on my own stuff in my shop, im going to make an aluminum attachment that’s basically a short wall that fits around the switch. It will in effect place the switch down in a small well similar to a zebralight.
