Manker MK37 (sbt90.2) - anyone have it? Thoughts on it?

I just jumped on Manker’s website to see what new and interesting 14500 lights they may have because they seem to own that market IMO.

I saw the Manker MK37 – a 3×18650 “compact” light with sbt90 and a TIR optic. Looks like an awesome light, and since I have been wanting the Acebeam k30gt for awhile this MK37 peaks my interest as basically looks like a contender of the AB but wth a TIR optic, sounds cool!

Anyone own one? Used one? I couldn’t find a review searching on blf search tab.

Makes me wonder why manker isn’t on BLF telling us about new Awsome lights they have? Or are they?

This is the first optic light for sbt90.2. Curious how the beam looks.

You’re Welcome Blueb8llz!

And skv89 I was wondering if it was. The optic looks very interesting, and based on the diameter it must be an interesting light. I’m glad I held off on the AB k30gt as well!

The only note (painful for me) is that it has 3×18650 in series; I tend to get flashlights with batteries in parallel, just in case.

(Supposedly) similar performance to the K30gt but 1 inch shorter. Also, Manker’s new UI is pretty perfect.

I have high hopes for this one. Thinking it should throw further because of the optics but just less floody.

I really like the look/style/design. I am interested to see in the coming months if anyone posts a review or beam shots.

Nice find Artiet59, definitely gotta check this out. I always had a soft spot for optic lights. I like the way the beam has a more gradual tapering off from hotspot to the edge of the spill.

Welcome, Makapuu! The only optic lights I have are the triple and quads led lights. Very interested to see the sbt90.2 in a optic light!

Vinh got his hands on one for a quick beamshot. He’s super impressed!

^^^Skylumen STOCK video looks nice.

Here is my Question and an important part of my decision for a light.WHEN does the thermal regulation start? Temp.?

I have asked Manker 3X for some of their lights regarding this.NO RESPONSE.

On the other hand I am 2 out of 3 with Acebeam. There L19 steps down at 60C along with the K65GT.

I know this Skylumen guy will sometimes put his driver in to elimate that step down.I am not paying $75 to $100 additional for that and a small current bump.

With that SBT90.2 which gets hot.I would bet MAX of 3 minutes. Probably steps down 2 in summer.

To admit is to acknowledge. To Accept is to take action.

Manker finally got it right with the UI. Just a pity the E14 III has a low mode of 180 lumen! Even with the SBT90.2 the got the low mode under 100 lumen. Very excited about this light…

Acebeam L18, Armytek Prime C1 Pro, Armytek Prime C2 Pro, Armytek Tiara C1 Pro, Astrolux MF01 Mini, BLF Q8, BLF A6, BLF FW1A, BLF FW3A, BLF FW3C, BLF LT1, Convoy L6, Convoy C8+ , Convoy S3, Emisar D4, Fireflies E07, Jaxman E2L, Manta Ray C8.2 long version, Olight S1R Baton II special edition series, S2R Baton II, Olight Baton 3, Olight Warrior Mini, Olight M2R Pro Warrior.

Most of them have been modded! =)

With new UI is it possible to eliminate ramping moon modes?
IMO the moons are ridiculous to have on a Thrower. All it does is get in the way on my MC13

Also, Manker 18650 cells are longer.. What other cells fit this light with proper spring tension, without solder blobs or using magnets ?

Edit: viewed Vinhs photos on CPF. Do the batts load all in parallel?

Yeah, I’m not all that excited about Mankers new UI. The moons on E14III, the 2 lowest are useless. Tho not sure how it will be with SBT90
Also I am beginning to hate proprietary batteries

It’s a general UI that makes a lot of sense to me. One click to on or off, hold to cycle modes while on, and while off or on double click for turbo. That’s all I really need in a flashlight.

Yes I agree, but I also love if turbo could be memorized so that it can turn on with a single click. Do you know if this is available with this light?

Everyone has been complaining about moonlight being too high. Now Manker offers you a choice where you should be able to find your sweetspot. I think the problem is the general ‘low’ mode not being low enough…. it should have been somewhere between between 50 and 80 lumen. Now you have this big jump from moon to low. On the E14 III at least.

blueb8llz, I emailed Vinh, he said Turbo can only be activated by a double click, memory only works for the lower modes. The light is available on his site.

Thanks for that. Bummer, but it’s not a deal breaker. I will most likely purchase one over at Skylumen.

Yes, I’d be interested in a much cheaper equivalent of a light like this too.

Manker will be releasing the U22 III, using the same Optic and LED choice.
Essentially a more compact MK37, with less heat sinking and a lower price.

Would be very sweet If it comes with usb c and supports 21700. I’d love a K1, but the diameter is just too much.

Edit: just saw the pictures from their Instagram. It does look very nice. Extremely tempting!
