[2021-03-28] Mobile display issues [FIXED]

Hi everyone,

My apologies for the downtime during the past couple of hours. A simple maintenance operation was complicated by a bug on the webhost’s side, but fortunately they still had staff responding to support tickets late on Sunday night. :sunglasses:

Thanks to everyone for your patience! Have fun.

EDIT: There was also a change I made to the configuration that ended up negatively affecting the display of BLF pages on some mobile devices, so I just reverted that change.

Yeah, back online here too.

Glad BLF is back online!

What happened to the display of the page on the smartphone? The page is narrowed. Usually it was the width of the thread title, now the text is wrapped.

I did make some changes to tweak things according to Google’s current requirements recommendations. For me it seems to be behaving on a small screen the same as before. But I’m not too clear on how you say it was rendering the page before.

For me the site on my cell appears 150% to 200% zoomed in. Plus the zoom looks locked in. Can't control the zoom with pinch for example.

I wonder if Sofirn is selling S4plus chargers?

Just setting the viewport is not enough when the sidebar stays visible. The actual content gets really narrow and hard to read.

You know what they say…Once you go Sofirn you can’t go back.

Hank33, please check the “force zoom activation” on the configs of the browser, in the “Accessibility” part.

No issue for pinch-zoom.

SammysHP* and *Hank33 OK, thanks for letting me know. It must be an iOS quirk, I only tested it with Android devices. I reverted the change, it should behave now as it did before.

Good that I use Android.

All is back to “normal” as it was before yesterday
Thanks sb

Exactly what I was thinking!

Yup, thanks for keeping BLF working smoothly.

Thanks to everyone for reporting the issue and for confirming the fix. :+1:

I just checked on the phone. Now it looks like it did before. Which is good. Thanks sb.

I hope my arm is long enough. :D

Oh that’s great! Thanks for the fix.

2 Android devices, one on version 9 and one on version 10. The one on version 10 with the tall screen was zoomed in and yeah I don’t think pinch control was available but I was able to slide the screen just enough to make it work. I didn’t spend any time trying to really diagnose. The one on version 9 was okay a short time later I only tried both of them in portrait mode.
