So managed to do a quick test tonight. Was a bit tricky as I had to try and do 12m inside, and was struggling to read the meter at that distance, so I’m taking these with a pinch of salt. I got 1.95Mcd. Really need to try a further one outside with someone giving me a hand. Anything around 5 or 6 meters is just pointless with this light, it just whites out the whole area and blinds you! Also, this light uses the original LEP module with a mirror, so at shorter distances there’s a black hole in the middle of the beam. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s still focusing at 12m.

Took some quick comparison shots as well:

And the bezel makes this cool shot:

Thanks!

It’s actually a bit smaller than I thought it was going to be. It may be a tad longer than the FT03, but it’s head diameter is quite a bit smaller. It could definitely be carried in a jacket pocket.

My light meter won’t register this light for some reason, never had that problem before. Doesn’t matter what distance I am away from the sensor either

So transparent mate.

You’ve only given us 1 Lumintop discount code? Okey dokey.

I’m guessing you’ve not given out deals for the Imalent MS03 and MS06 that were both plagued by turbo issues I’m sure you would have mentioned…

So Honest is jello because I have shared Lumintop deals with members??? wink

The_Flashaholic wrote:

Btw, majority of them members are aware that I am affiliate/ partnership with a number of vendors and manufacturers.

For those who are unawared >>>> YES, i DO receive commission for every item sold here. I did mention on my our website if you have missed it.

This funding primary for:

  1. Compensate my time to setup each group buy, which includes product design refinement, price negotiation, sharing customers' feedback and preferences, etc etc.
  2. Compensate my time to answer member questions and personal order issues.
  3. Purchasing samples and GAW prizes fee.
  4. Remaining goes to my hosting and related services, measurement tools for reviews, photography/videography gears which cost us $3,000/yr minimum.

Hi Honest, SO You are  simply ASSUMING  i would cover up the issues if i got the opportunity to review IMALENT flashlights because of commission?  WHOA ....... I am speechless now ....

Unlike some affiliate like Honest, who only drop by here to monetize his videos and deals discretely.

Claimed that his reviewed products are "full of flaws", "under-performed", and "not recommended" YET he will never forget to include his personal deals in the descriptions for all (I think so ... I don't watch crappy stuffs) videos.

Just a generic one like in the pic FREEME posted. I’ve tried it on another and it’s working. Only done 6m so far and got just over 1,800,000cd.

I’m not like you, Charles and Max. I only sell 1 or 2 lights via my link. Apart from Astrolux flooders which do pretty well.

My audience is mainly watching for the wow factor not the “deal”

you’re not happy with 1,800,000cd. Lose you sales lol.

Tbh I tell you how not money minded I am. I’m refusing to review Lumintop and Imalent almost daily due to their poor quality.

People ask me for Lumintop discount codes but I even advise against them purchasing the brand. That’s so un-FREEME.

Don’t even get me started on the FREEME FM1, utter gash. I’m hoping I blocked many sales with my scathing review of it. LOL

IF it is indeed 1,800,000cd... Yes, I will be very disappointed with the manufacturer. It is a fact that i can't deny, that all parties including me will loss some sales if product is not up to expectation. Manufacturers have to learn from their mistake one way or another.

That is an extremely honorable action. I hope it is true.

Feel free to bash on MEOTE FM1 (oops, you have already done on several occasions), I have nothing to hide for this light. cool The reason why there was so much of disappointment, it was because of the amount of anticipation.

From FREEME's mouth: FM1 is NOT recommended because of the amount of negative feedback for its Final version. I was very keen to work out the issues with MEOTE back then, but BG and I were met with major roadblock with MEOTE. They were unable disclose problem to me until this date, probably because i was never an employee of them. I was utterly setup by their decisions because of my reputation was at stake, not to mention 5-6 months worth of effort from my side. However, i vowed not to be discourage by this setback and i would emerge stronger with better lights if opportunity arise.

Initial bezel design is rather aggressive. Fortunately they listened to my advice to tone it down, else shredded pants and backpack stories would arise later.

I don’t mind it, I think it looks good!

Now this thread is unlocked again, I can share my findings. I thought this light just had high-low, but it actually has turbo, with a double click from on or off. Whilst playing with it inside I thought a double click just took it to high, and high and turbo are that intense I couldn’t tell the difference. So when I took my initial readings, I was only reading high. I’ve taken some more reading since and got the following:

Low – 619Kcd
High – 1.7Mcd
Turbo – 2.38Mcd!

All taken at 6m whilst wearing sunglasses! Haha
Still need to try and do some at around 20m when I get chance.
