What's the BLF version laser pointer?

I haven’t really looked into this deeply because I’m sure someone (or many) are already aware since the similar interests as flashlights, EDC, etc.

But are there BLF type version laser pointers? My old green pointer died and would like to pick up something better than the cheapo I had before.

I think there was a brief discussion at some point, I remember reading about it. But afaik, there never was a BLF branded laser pointer.

Right, we never got into the topic of lasers very much here because of some potential safety issues and also the confusing importation laws that vary from one country to another.

Anyone have suggestions for online forums similar to BLF?

Laserpointerforums.com, but it is smaller than BLF, less lively and more difficult to navigate. As a laserpointer-noob I did find useful things there though. I bought a little 10440 battery 490nm Sanwu laser last year based on what I read on LPF, pretty cool thing.

Yeah, lasers scare me because it’s a short walk from basic, mostly safe lasers to “even looking at this laser’s dot on the wall will damage your eyes without protection”

LPF is kinda sketchy in my experience as far as advocating safe use, but I haven’t been active in lasers for several years so maybe they’ve gotten better.

There’s also https://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/ and candlepowerforums also has a laser section
