I’d guess at least 500lm, maybe even more!

A very old meme YATTA! – Irrational Exuberance

Now, if you watched that, and are curious, I’ll link the actual real video, however I don’t recommend you watch it. Seriously. Once seen, you cannot un-see it, like that scene in Thor: Ragnarok where Hulk stands up and “Oh God, it’s in my brain now…”

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Happitai – YATTA!

(if you do watch it, go back and watch the other one to try and cleanse or something…) Silly

That’s pretty scary Lightbringer. I wonder if they figured out the issue with the bus.

I’d rather use my flashlight around the house than turn on the lights.

2 of these caught fire in April and the French have suspended operation of 149 of the same model.

[Edit: Found some news reports that they suspect the busses made contact with a bridge which damaged the batteries located in the roof]

Bolloré’s 12-meter (39-foot) long electric buses can transport up to 109 passengers and offers an estimated driving range of up to 320 kilometers (199 miles) from Lithium Metal Polymer (LMP) battery packs totaling 441 kWh of stored energy. On its website, Bluebus describes the batteries as “completely solid, with no liquid components, no nickel and no cobalt.”

Since the Bluebus 5SE is a low-floor bus, the batteries are spread around the roof and rear of the vehicle.

This bus even has a slow mode Ricky and Morty Ramp—sweet!

I would think these incidents will become more frequent with higher adoption rates of EVs.

But at the rate of fire propagation, those exits hopefully are large enough for quick evacuation.

In my parts, the electric mopeds and scooters are more prone to such. Less QC and some shady makes. They’re not fully regulated (like security testing and charging).

Yeah, I like the way Bambi was slowly stalking her but got scared off before he could make the kill, otherwise things could’ve gotten really ugly really fast.

It’s worth the watch, Netflix.
Anthology of 6 stories; written, directed and produced by the Coen Bros. Some gruesome, all rather poignant.

Holy Mother of God… you’d think that the bus’s electrical system would have some kind of failsafe to prevent such a runaway kind of fire. It’s remarkable no one was injured, but I can imagine the toxicity of that fire, all of those chemicals spewed into the air. I hope they were able to isolate the cause and take corrective measures in the design to prevent it from happening again.

Funny thing is, there are dozens of other similar vids about e-buses going supernova.

Had a cat much like that one. Loved playing in the snow. She would always stay within the boundaries of the back ally. Thought it would be safe. Back neighbour set some food with rat poison. Very painful and slow death. I wept much.
Karma; had a portable welder drop on his head. Survived but went downhill afterwards. Ended up in a disability home and caught Covid (died). His wife lost it; interned mental ineptitude. Only son, low-down drinker and good for nothing came clamouring at his folk’s house a year after all that calamity. Was piss drunk and on pills, had driven over. Neighbour called the cops – took him in. Wasn’t the first time drunk at the wheel, and revoked license. Doing time now. Riddance.

That’s why my 2 critters are never going outside again.

First inside was probably an 8yo indoor cat that someone just tossed when he developed problems (angry red growths in his mouth that kept him from eating), so on day 3 that I saw him, I took him to the vet, had the growths removed, all fixed up, full workup, baths, trim, etc., and he’s my velcro cat, no particular desire to go back out except maybe on the patio.

Second inside had been around a few years that I’d feed every day, would later eat inside then go back out, then would eat and sleep and eat and sleep then go back out, then eat sleep, and stay the night and then go back out, but would always be getting beat up in catfights. Huge down-to-the-muscle rakes on his shoulder and ballooning infection on his cheek/neck, another billion dollars at the vet, and had him recovering in the house while he tore himself up trying to get out. Finally calmed down but still was itching to get out. Now actually is “domesticated” in that he comes by me and sleeps right near me (and loooooooves my rubber flipflops) and only recently yearns for The Great Outdoors but doesn’t push it.

So I basically dote on ‘em and give ‘em whatever they want to make being inside as fun as possible. Even have a coffin-sized Chewy box that #1 loves climbing into. Lifts up the flap, sticks his head in, slides into, lets the flaps close back up behind him. So yeah, it’s staying here as a permanent fixture. LOL

Had way way too many cats come by and then eventually “disappear”. Smooshed by douchebag drivers, shot, poisoned, who knows. At least they can come here and get some free eats. And wet food, not just the dry crap.

All ours have been inside cats. Except 1 who stayed in the fenced in back yard for short adventures – never after dark. This was before there were any houses across the ally. A quiet place back then.
He was a scorpion kill’en dude. He would bash them around the floor till I got them or he parted them out.
As far as I know he never got stung.
They were coming in from the empty fields across the ally. I stopped counting at 30.
By the time he passed away it was all built up and the invasion stopped.

They tend to last a long time.
16y, 21y, 19y, and our current tiny rescue cat turned 22y last month.
I do wish I lived someplace safe where I felt it was OK to have outdoor time.
We have several semi feral cats in the hood. Some will let humans near – others won’t.

Sidney, so sorry to hear that. I hope there is a special place in hell for anyone who abuses pets or children.
All the Best,
Jeff
