Lumintop GT Mini NM1 vs. C8+ NM1 (Side-by-Side Comparison)

For the most part, I would concur with your assessment of the Mini NM1. My sample had poor centering/focus, and I noticed there was no centering ring under the reflector. I have since adjusted it as well as I can, but it still suffers from some pretty disproportionate ‘petaling’, if you will. I’m also skeptical about the 13W claim, but my DMM is not really set up to properly measure TC amps. Surprisingly my GT Micro NM1 (which oddly I love) out throws the mini depending on the cell/SOC, and draws more amperage on turbo (TA Fet driver). Gotta be careful with cell selection though. An H10 will overdrive the micro.

Thanks for the S/S comparison. Gotta love the C8 host for these flat emitters, and Simon is pretty good at matching drivers for these Osrams. My M21A CSLPM1.TG 6A is still my favorite thrower.

Yeah, a lotta people don’t realise that the smaller the emitter in a huge reflector, the way more critical the placement.

And not just along the x- and y-axes (centering), but also the z-axis (height).

The original ’mini was quite nice, but the new variations (XHP and CSI.NY) are just wrong.

One’s a flooder chip in a thrower reflector (why??), and the other still needs to be dialled-in to get it right.

Same for the new P30s.

Yep, mine is (was - I sent it back already) crooked. Poor workmanship.
