Lumintop GT94X (4 or 8 * 21700 version of GT94). 24,000 lm. 2950m

Just seen this posted on Facebook by Victor from Lumintop. Didn’t see anything on BLF so thought I’d make a thread to discuss.

Edit: it’s for sale here:

Freeme has a group buy and discount code over here: FREEME ✌ LUMINTOP GT94X 4* SBT90.2 24000lm 2950m 21700 Thrower - ALIVE

From various comments

  • You can’t upgrade your GT94 to a GT94X
  • Narsil (apparently the GT Nano is getting Anduril though)

Comparing to GT94 it’s

  • 24,000 lumens Vs 20,000
  • 2950m throw vs 2500m

The other big difference is the 4 cell option. More portable but looks less well balanced (if my MF04 is anything to go by).

I like it a lot.

I’ll take one, with extension tube and 8 cells.

Logical evolution of the GT94 when it is available and I will definitely want one, hopefully in a group buy soon ...

This needs a remote switch if it doesn’t already have one. Also maybe remote power (12 volts) and a car mount for use as a spotlight.

That’s just insane. Must weigh 10 lbs with batteries.

Narsil? Really? Why??

At least because you can disable temp control, which you do not want/need on a GT94, Anduril AFAIK can not completely disable it.

Good point. Yes, actually I was thinking about the temperature stepdown.

Only Narsilm, Narsilm forever!

Narsil sorry for the t9

Luckily they remembered to make two holes for adding a clip.
But you need to wear baggy trousers.

If the GT94 stays cool enough to not need the temp control, then the temp control shouldn’t kick in. Anyway it’s certainly possible to compile Anduril without it.

Massive size and weight. Maybe mounted on a Humvee or Black Hawk will be appropriate.

I want to cradle it like a baby. There there, GT94X, there there.

I like it and will get one but I want one that uses 4 GT reflectors which would make the head about 250mm diameter and compete with the lemax super power.

It would be incredible, I'd take one too.

To me it seems only an upgrade on the batteries. If the head diameter is still the same then I cannot see really an improvement on the intensity of this light.

.
I agree, once you get a 130 km ish reflector and push a 90.2 at 22 amps with 8 x 30Q’s then you are about maxed out on throw, lumens and runtime. But then the light is big and bulky to use. But this one looks mean and fun. :smiling_imp:
I would love to get one.
.
With 4 x 90.2 leds, it needs more power.

Yeah me too. I like to have one as well.

In my opinion the numbers don’t add up. If you increase the lumens from 20,000 to 24,000 the throw doesn’t go up from 2500m to 2950m. More like 2700m or so.
