D4SV2 HELP

I've got a D4V2 219b 4500k, a KR1 W2, and a Convoy S2+ W1 coming in. I want to get a D4SV2 but I'm having a really hard time picking an emitter. Alot of people recommend them with W2s and XP-L hi 4000k. I've kinda been leaning towards XP-L hi 4000k. I feel like it would be a good all around emitter with a mix of throw, flood, lumens, efficiency, and decent tint and CRI. I would want it to be good indoors and outdoors. What do you think?

XPL-HI 4000K is a great all around emitter. It’s better for actual use as a flashlight. W2’s are more impressive and fun.

I'd love to have them both because I know W2s would be incredible but for around the house and suburbs, I don't think I'd ever even get to use them to their full potential.

Be aware that the 4000K XP-L HI has a greenish tint in the D4Sv2. It does not have the nice slightly pink tint that you get with the D4.

I used an 1/8th minus green Zircon filter in my D4S and it makes it much more pleasant.

Edit: oh, this is an old thread. Oops.

Yeah, but if you’re color blind (red/green color deficiency), none of this matters. You just go for the brightest, coolest, you can get. Smile
