floody 21700 light?

so i have a few extra 21700 cells laying around i have 2 throwers which is perfect for my needs. Now im on the hunt for a more floody 21700 light. i was looking at the m21b with gt fc40 emitter but was also looking at the s12 not sure on which emitters yet. Anyone have a solid suggestion for another option that wont break the bank lets say 50 or less

Wurkkos TS21 is a good option. If you can stretch your budget a little, Fireflies has some great models with very efficient buck drivers.

Astrolux ea01s? 4x xhp50, 11 000 extremely floody lumen.

FF seems all sold out ATM…

i looked into the ts21 hows the run time on say medium/high? yeah i heard fireflies is hard to come by atm. ill look into the wurkkos

hmm ill deff have to take a look at that one. i think the s12 has an xhp 50 option but ill deff take a look

Agree. The TS21 may win light of the year for 2021. Its that good.

looking up reviews im seeing some really mixed reviews about it. Like some high praise others are meh ha which makes it a tough choice.

A XHP 70.2 in a S21A body will yield a very floody light with pretty much the highest sustainable lumens in a small package

do i need to special request the xhp 70 from simon? i see he has the xhp50 but dont see the xhp 70 option

You should be able to get it with the 6V 5A driver.

as a complete light or do i buy the driver separately?

You can just ask Simon to put in a XHP70.2 and see if he can do it. I have a light from a brand called Pioneman and it’s basically a small 21700 light with a XHP70.2 light and a Convoy 6V 5A driver. Mine outputs about 3500 lumens and it can sustain that for 2 minutes. The beam from a XHP70.2 will tend to be very even and nice.

what about at a lower level? does he hold pretty steady?

Convoy M21B with GT-FC40 very floody, hi cri and 21700. Also great price.

is it pretty efficient? im not worried about at 100% but like 35/50%

Convoy has two floody and bright lights, both 21700 and Cree XHP70.2. Very floody M21B https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003424639395.html? and the just floody M21E https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003201531985.html?

so i see he also has an sst70 emitter for the m21e would that be more throwy then the xhp 70.2?

Yes, being a 45mm head you might be right back into throwy not floody territory. I have the M21e with a smooth reflector and the 5000k XHP70.2, she has a wide very well defined hot spot with a decently wide spill. In comparison Simon’s M3 with an op reflector of the same size has less defined hot spot and slightly wider spill.

good to know deff sounds like xhp 70 is the way to go. would an op help with that spill over the smooth reflector
