Niwalker ES3

I see this today in Fin17 thread

Insta buy Facepalm Kikoolol design, for me, the blue crenellated head is only for me to make cut on sable pastry to make cake Flat Stare and 3 color on light is to much for me but (fortunately a lamp is used in the dark Kiss ) :
-
High CRI avalaible with Samsung LH35D 4000K 90 CRI (Osram 4000k, CREE XPL HD cool white also)
-
80$ base price on Niwalker website for the body with 3 head with Samsung LH35D so 9 LED
Seem be good evolution of ES2 a very nice light with major issu, only cool white avalaible on Banggood, actually with ES3 you can buy with Samsung Osram and CREE led, but can’t buy other head for the moment on Banggood.
They add more heat sink I hope better perfom
I hope a good floody high CRI with no bad tint.
I’m in love and overexcited

I take 1 head 3 xpl hd (26$) and 1 head OSRAM PUSRA1.PM(3W)(16$) the best function of this lamp being of switch the heads.
141$ total with shipping

I’ve bought it from Niwalker store, my first try (my ES2 from Banggood), hope no worry
I ask Niwalker if the ES2 head can be put in ES3, I will keep you informed of an answer.

What do you think about this light?

Black one is my favorite. Looks cool, has high CRI leds and offers a nice amount of floody light. Also with different heads you could make it really versatile like adding two throwy heads and one flood etc.

Too bad I don’t need one. Already got MF01 Mini and Convoy M21A with 6xSST20 and they are enough.

The anesthetic is nice but I don’t have the use case where I need interchangeable heads nor three separate channels. So for me, I’d take the thermal and size advantages of a different design over this. And if going soda-can style, could get better outout/runtime with more cells.

Yeah the reason I ask if ES2 head are compatible 3 head with 1 XPL-HI can be good 2 is very nice on ES2 but 3 <3_<3
I’ve choose black body, the golden ring button and lanyard fixe look good, blue bezel not Sad

I’ve also MF01 mini high CRI not same beam
MF01 is a big and bright hotspot ont the ES3 it’s a big wall light/flood, little/no hotspot don’t expect more 40 meter range Big Smile but very wall light.

I hope Niwalker continue on this way and produce other head it’s pretty nice to mix and choose/change beam quickly.

I don’t think separate channel Sad , but I think we can unscrew for disconnect one or 2 head.
No idea for UI I don’t expect nothing, On/off, ramping and no more
I really hope Niwalker develops this concept, they can do near perfect light with complete UI and “drivers”

Changing leds into those heads also looks nice and easy, but does that head also include driver or is that in body? Must be in the head because all those different led options?

I don’t know about driver Niwalker is a discret brand and strange website O_0
Only my tought, it’s probably 2 driver one primary on the body and secondary on the head, on ES2 you can switch with the UI 1 head on, 2 head on, other head on.
Reason I think that

Scallywag the ES2 is very strange at use, when I bought it i don’t expect big runtime at high level because of the heat and I was pretty surprised one 3 XPL HI and one 1 XPL HI give perfect beam and even in summer good runtime before overheat, the big issu is a bad capacity to dissipate heat, with this designe ES3 can do better.
The reason I think “hybride” driver, ES2 don’t look but it is a pretty nice heat tank. the body is not “empty” seem be “full” but no only with drivers
Everything is relative of course soda can better always but no same size , i’ve only D4SV2 XPL HI for compare a quad XPL HI light
-
The body of ES3 can be a big heat tank and accept medium burst a 3-5k lumens and can be good complement to use with MF01S 4000k when ES3 dissipate heat.

ES2 size for compare

Changing head is very nice easy and quick and head transport really doesn’t take up much space you can have 3 head with the size of 1 26650 cell and change thrower beam for wall light beam or hybrid beam in less than a minute

- of memory on other thread about ES2 guy say you can contact they for make a spécial head with a mix LED of our choice inside

I’d be really surprised if it’s not replaceable. The tailcap sure looks like it can be unscrewed.

Interesting light. Funny that it comes for $80 for three heads and a battery. But extra heads are between $15 and $30 EACH.

Would have been more of interest to me if there was a reasonably priced package with all the available heads. Otherwise becomes a very expensive light in a hurry.

Really like the format/design/concept and the desert tan colour though.

Yes head part are expensive.
Compare to ES2 75 USD body with x3 Seoul UV led, x3 XPL HI and no cell ES3 is better deal
For ES2 that was 15-25 USD x3 LED depending brand and 9 USD for single CREE XPL HI/HD.

Don’t know for ES3 but ES2 is claim with 5 year warranty on the box

Shipped today
No email send from Niwalker.
I’ve asked them on Skype about shipping information (they give track number, notification and other), reply after few hours
Tracking number on 17track link
The good point if they are reactiv on Skype, bad point nothing on our account in their website, no notification, nothing.
Visibly you need to ask their for have answer, but they reply quickly and sympathetically.
Other good point (or bad depending) payement only by Paypal via classique Paypal payement and Paypal express checkout.

1lumen make rewiew of ES2
Interesting, never read before, i’m agree with their issu (Oring ring cut off) and conclusion, exept 3 star total note.
Just I’m surprise on the lumen test only 590 for single XPL-HD, not my favorite LED on this light I need to retry later but nothing had shocked me during these uses.
Not real output claim, ok but for this tall and light the princip is to mix different beam and not breach the limit.
beyond the numbers I consider the lamps first of all as dishes, if a dish is good have not necessarily know what is in it.
On this case ES2 is great meal LOL probably 2500-3000 lumen with one 3 XPL-HI and one 1 XPL-HI but fine, great bubble of light to see all around 30-40 meter)
I am not against hardware or physical limitations volontary or not, I use inside Samsung 50E and i’m satisfied. 5000 lumen or over on this light tall/design is useless for me.
No LVP protection warning, I’m a big boy, similar “reduce/simple” Anduril UI 3 click from off after 20-30 minute use for check lvl

I’ve found used camera (Panasonic Lumix FZ82 not especially better in night condition (for shoot light Big Smile ) but visibly it’s in very low luminosity I didn’t plan to compare moonlight/low level for the moment, I also have AI software to try remove a possible digital noise) it should happen tomorrow (I have a doubt) seem good for a start with reasonable price, I project first use to it make video and pics for compare ES2 on my other single cell cool white light Nitecore TM9K/P20iX, Astrolux EC01/03 (50.2) and Wildtrail WT1M (50.2) NSXE (SFS80 LED) .

I wish I could do it by Sunday LOL

If anyone here in Finland needs 2x orange glow gaskets for triple these, then I can sell those. Bought triple pack from NiWalker store, but needed only 1 so PM me if anyone is interested. They kinda like only look orange, but glow in green, not sure if all NiWalker glow gaskets are like that?

I had the mixed 9 colors glow gaskets, you may match the colors before and after glow.

I have those rightmost on the middle row. Says orange, but like you can see they glow more like green yellow. Well if only NiWalker site would had pictures then I would have choose those rightmost on the bottom row. So is that red then?

I kinda disappointed when I recieved them, some of the colors didnt match with the naming of it.
The most “near red” is the middle-bottom one. That match the color of Convoy’s Orange-tail switch LEDs. No actual red glow gasket from Niwalker, I guess.
Right-bottom gasket’s glow is like liiight orange/warm white.
