I’ve opened up a motorcycle headlight to see if I can replace the LEDs with warmer and possibly high CRI ones, but I ran into a bit of a mystery. Does anyone know what LED this is?
I checked the LED reference guide, but no exact match. Closest look alikes are some of the Cree XP variants and 1 XM-L based on how the substrate looks.
Packaging says Cree, 10W, flux 3500 lm/W (don’t trust any of this). Measured voltage 4,5 to 6.1V (very dim to max brightness), but 2 in parallel in series with another duo. So roughly a standard 3V LED in 3535 package (measured). That’s good. Still no clue what this is, would love to know the specs. Also the colour temperature is colder than any 6500K flashlights I have. That’s all I got for now. Any guesses?
