Hi All,
I’m a longtime reader of BLF, but only now decided to join. I live in California, USA
I’m a flashaholic with a very limited addiction.

My lights:

- 2D Maglite with MTG2 in a smooth reflector, driven by a b3Flex from TaskLED, running on two 26650’s. Northstar for this light is 4x 32700’s LiFePo4 with a 2D extension

  • Convoy Z1 with MTG2, driven by a KD FX35 @ 4A. Northstar for this one is to dumb down FX35 to a 2 mode driver.

Welcome, I’m the same, a longtime reader who recently joined. I bet that mag lite is great, I love the MTG2 emitter even if it’s dated. It has a beautiful tint. I’ve got an eagletac and a niwalker with MTG2s.

I lived in San Jose for six years.

Of the several places that I've lived, San Jose has the best weather.

Now I live in the SoCal desert, which is not bad, especially in the winter.

To me, the best cities are between Sunnyvale and Milbrae.
Not as hot during the summer, and not as cold during the “winter”, without turning into San Francisco.
Living here is getting pretty expensive now. I’ve considered time and time again to move, but uprooting an entire family is tough.

I like the SoCal coast the most, between San Diego and Santa Barbara, but I can't afford to live there.

I lived in Dana Point & San Clemete for 18yrs. Averages 70ºF all year long.
