I’d definitely go with a flooder for close-in viewing. I might put the thrower on/in a bag, though.
I’d still rather have a twisty, though. Whether without charging (E3A, etc.) or with (i1R2, etc.), but twisties are simple.
I’ve got (and like) a Trustfire Minix, but I keep it as a lanyard light which I grab if going outside like to put out the garbage or something, especially if I ain’t got pockets in my sweats.
Anthills? Yeah, I used to think that way, too, ’til I’d be hip-deep in ants outside, and have hiking trails through my kitchen counters (via the back door) and even living room (via the front door). KIWF.
