Firmware Flashing Questions.

So i currently have a few lights that i would love to upgrade firmware on. I have a rot66 which is on Anduril v1and i would like to get it to v2 i have an FT03 Mini (the new sfs80 version) although it didnt ship with Anduril it has exposed pins on the board so i would love to flash something on it. i also have a sofrin sp35 and a sp33 v3 which dont have exposed pins so im not sure how easy they will be. for programmers i have a Pic 3, a CH341a and a USBASP. if someone with a bit more experience with flashing could point me to a good resource. ive been programing chips for years since my days making mod chips for friends PlayStations so im fairly familiar with that. i just dont know for example if the firmware on toykeepers site for the FT03 will work on this version or if i should be trying to back these up before flashing. also im assuming im going to be soldering jumpers onto these pins.

on a side note, flashlights are kind of addicting it seems haha. i started with 1 sofirn that had anduril on it and now i have like 17 lights.

I don’t think you will be able to flash Anduril on the MT35 Mini S. I have the same light with the same emitter and I eventually figured this out after quite a bit of research. The MCU is not compatible with Anduril and the pin layout does not correspond to a standard USB ASP.

well i can try and take it apart and see whats controling it. i may be able to at least pull the firmware off of whats in there then maybe someone smarter than me can direct us haha

Forget the SP35 and SP33, they have a microcontroller that is incompatible with Anduril. The ROT66 has an official firmware release, not sure about the Astrolux (probably not).

I flashed my PD90S SFH55 version to Anduril as well about 2 months ago but the driver the OP is inquiring about is completely different. The Mateminco naming scheme is confusing. I believe the OP is actually talking about the MT35 Mini S which is slightly smaller than a C8.

Sorry I don’t have a FT03 mini so I can’t help you, but if you can do a teardown and look at the other side of the driver then you should be able to see what MCU it uses. Or maybe fogofwar already knows.
