Noctigon DM1.12 - Hank’s best flood and throw yet!

I took recent delivery of the new Noctigon DM1.12 by Hank Wang of intl-outdoor.com. This is the dual channel light I was waiting for. Finally some really good flood without sacrificing amazing throw, or visa versa!

It’s much smaller in hand than it looks in pictures, and I found it very comfortable to hold. It has completely replaced the dual channel D4SV2 I had configured at LH351D / W1.

I also found that using the 26800 battery tube was enough of a performance hit over the 21700 that I might not use it much.

Thanks for this!

My god the thumbnail.

Great video cheule! It’s making me rethink this light a little bit, and that I might actually want to get one as a replacement for my 2-Channel D4AV2.

It cracked me up too. Hilarious proportions.

Why is the 26800 a performance hit compared to a 21700? Does your 21700 have a higher continuous discharge rating?

Awesome!

Exactly!

Just got mine, along with a 26800 cell.

First problem: Discovered that the 26800 cell won’t fit in the my charger. Anyone have a recommended charger that can fit these beasts of a cell? Looking for something that’s single use and cheap, can’t image I’d be using it often.

Light is awesome with a 21700 cell though. SFT-40 6500K for the center throw, SST20 2700K 95CRI flood.

Nitecore UI1 & UI2 will fit 26800 cells without modification. They max the charger out length wise but you don’t have to force anything.

i got my yesterday and havent put it down since

love love love this light

cant believe how tiny it is with the stock tube; i went with sft40 and nichia219b4500k - its like a dream…

Great emitter choices!

it took everything i had to NOT go with the sbt center channel…

no regrets at all; i couldt be happier with how it turned out

dont think i’l be using much of the 26900 tube though; it jut feels better with the stock setup…maybe its just me

Very nice video review Cheule! The Noctigon DM1.12 looks awesome.

Hank continues to make incredible flashlights. Someday I may splurge again and get another one, but I still really like my Noctigon Meteor M43.

I bought the same setup as supergron and had the same urges for the 90.2. The sft40 appears just as nice and has a little spill that helps up close.

Handy little light, little being a relative term. Does need the headspace for the 12 flood LED’s after all.

Concerning choice of center emitter, Osram W1 (6000k) vs. Luminus SFT-40 (6500k).

Hank denotes:
W2 (Osram CSLPM1.TG): 1300lm, Lux: 130Kcd (130,000cd)
SFT-40 6500K: 1800lm, Lux: 130Kcd (130,000cd)

500lm difference at that level is likely to be imperceptible to the human eye. In one review using a Convoy C8 as the host, the SFT-40 produces a slightly wider hotspot. LINK.
