Sofirn SC31 Pro ramps up to TURBO

My first two examples ramp up to high, then take a double click to get to turbo, my third one ramps directly up to turbo, was there an interface change at some point, or is there a glitch in this one ?
Thanks

it sounds like two lights have Anduril 2, one light has Anduril 1, or two lights have the ceiling set to 120/150 and one light has the ceiling set to 150/150

click to learn how to test and learn, which Anduril is on your lights

The “15 Clicks while OFF” Anduril "Version Check" will help determine this.

The “Version Check” on my older Sofirn SC31 Pros with Anduril-1 returns "2020 03 18" indicating a "March 18, 2020" version date.

These lights all ramp to the default "Ceiling" level which is less than "Turbo" (but will ramp to Turbo if I set the ramp "Ceiling" to "150/150" which is "Turbo").

I do not have any SC31 Pros using Anduril-2, but the Anduril-2 "Version Check" reports out more information than Anduril-1 by appending a "Brand ID" and "Product ID" after the version date.

The "Version Check" function is detailed in forum member ToyKeeper's "Anduril-2 User Manual":

10 clicks and hold got this one configured the same as my other lights, thanks, I appreciate the help.

Someone at the factory might have used your sample to check the production run that it is from. Someone knowing Anduril. Maybe even Barry?

Yay… you were in simple mode, whose ceiling is 150/150, and are now in advanced, whose ceiling is 120/150… congrats on learning the difference. :+1:

Thanks, there’s a lot to learn, I absolutely love these lights, one of the most useful things I’ve ever purchased.

glad you are enjoying the light

fwiw, when I want to know if Im in Simple mode, I clic 3 times from off, which gives me battery level flashes… one time only. As you learned, 10H from off, switches to Advanced mode.

If 3C from off reports the battery level flashes more than one time, I am in Advanced mode. 10C from off switches to Simple mode…

Came here to say this. You were in simple mode.

In simple mode, the ramp ceiling is not 150, it is 120 just like in advanced mode. The key difference is that Turbo is disabled (or lowered to level 120) in simple mode. That makes top of ramp look exactly the same as “turbo” because you’re not actually getting full level 150 turbo output.

Apparently there ARE some versions of Anduril where output in the simple UI is not limited to level 120.

I’m not getting anything by clicking 15 times, but if I reset both lights by unscrewing the head, then retightening while holding the button down, one defaults to simple mode, one to advanced. The one in simple mode changes to advanced with 10 clicks and hold starting with the light off, then either light will switch between stepped or smooth ramping with three clicks, no hold starting with the light on.

I hope you managed to set them up the way you like… even though they came with different defaults. Enjoy your lights

Are you sure? You can click more times, like 20, to make sure you did enough clicks.

And you’re sure that both are Anduril 2? The one that defaults to advanced UI is probably Anduril 1. Check if 6C brings it into muggle mode.

They both reset to a different default, I prefer advanced in stepped ramp mode, it’s easy to get them both there, other than maybe some thermal setting changes, I’m happy with the mode they’re both in.
