harbor freight rechargeable aaa. BAD!

1 at 0v 2 at .5 and 1 at 1.3v
The one at 1.3 being the only good one.
Came out at around 865mah and 30mohm.
Rated 900.
The other 2 were 400mohm and only 300mah.
And the website crashed when leaving a review.
Aa ok
Aaa are junk!

Could just be that batch; but HF does sell cheap stuff. Sometimes, I feel, what is get is sorta worth the money spent, but not more.

Thats a really bad batch!
1 of 4 useable.
With energizer made in japan aa and aaa showing up at the flea $4 for 8 its pointless to even care.
Yes i cleaned them out!

Big players can use their leverage to go for quality.
Small and first time players are not always that lucky.
They are often at the mercy of shady middlemen who want a piece of the action.
That’s why I avoid buying “same brand” batteries with the lights I buy.

Brilliant! ^

Yep!

Oh dear. I wonder if JonnyC has seen that headlight

 I’m pretty sure he was the one who got me started on these Harbor Fraught catalogs, they’re my all-time favorite now.

Those are classics!

At least Harbor Freight is consistent, all their stuff is garbage.

That’s a great ad sb56637!

As an alternative snakebite and for about the same price as HF, I’ve bought several of these 4 pack AAAs from Menards (since you’re in the Midwest) and they tested out pretty good:

North Tech® AAA Rechargeable Batteries - 4 pack

I have not tried Harbor Freight rechargeable batteries. I’ve bought a few other things from them that I don’t put much stress on. I’ve been using https://mahaenergy.com/ NiMH batteries for years with good results. They’re made in Taiwan. The only alkaline AA or AAA batteries I still have are in my smoke detector and for backup purposes for some emergency flashlights. I don’t use my flashlights heavily, so it’s possible that NiMH’s don’t last as long per session as alkaline’s. I have a caller ID device that eats batteries for lunch. It takes 3x AAA batteries and I have to recharge those about every month. AAA’s don’t have much energy in the first place. I made the switch to rechargeable after I had several devices ruined by corroded Duracell’s. I hardly ever buy batteries from Amazon or EBay. Too many fakes.

8 energizer chinese NIMH AA's for $4 is a pretty great deal . Fifty cents is a good number Buying them all is an appropriate activity .

I remember teaching a guy at the flea market why a japanese duraloop was worth more than a chingapoop.

The next week he rewarded me with raising the price on me . Sometimes it just pays not to educate people
