Acebeam E70 Mini: Reality Check (Multi-Emitter, 18650, High CRI, 2000 lumens)

This is my opinion on the Acebeam E70 Mini after about 15 nights shifts and much outdoor and indoor use:

I think we have a winner here!

Turbo is not “ten to twenty minutes”, but 40 s to about one minute (temperature controlled stepdown).

Agreed to the large and beautifully shaped, neutral beam. The 5000K version is probably the best multi-purpose N519A.

You are right, that is what I meant. Basically that thing puts out a lot of light - of course not the full 2000 lumens - for about 10-20min so you can use it as a searchlight. After that it is way too hot and it regulates down anyways. That is how I would describe it from real world usage, not measurements. 2000 lumens at 10min it would glow red hot I guess

It’s about 600 lumens constant output after the light stepped down from turbo. On high you’ll get 2 minutes at 900 lm, then 600.

This is not exactly great, but works well in the short range. Of course, the huge spot and the excellent light quality takes its toll: The E70 MINI is everything but a searchlight. Perfect for walking, but not a thrower in the least.

*) I took the manufacturers data for lumens. I think by my own measurements they are exaggerated, but not sure.

Nice review, thank you.

Yeah, a searchlight it is not. But I took it a few times to light up a garden and a parking spot - basically medium distance (see night footage in the video) - and it performed really well, gave me good range and illumination for a while. It is a really sweet light.
