FWAA Anduril 2 .hex

I want to update my FWAA’s to Anduril 2. Does anyone know the most suitable .hex file to use?

I was under the impression that FWAA’s already came Anduril 2 stock? Was your’s modded or a pre-production?

Since it’s 14500/3.7V only it should be able to take FW3A firmware. There are several variations depending on whether you want FET/No-FET or using Nichia 219 emitters.

Anduril Repository

So I have three and they’re early models that have a really rubbish version of Anduril 2 on them.

I found out that they use the fwaa-219 config. Also found (and used) this which has a few alterations I like - FWAA - Pastebin.com

congrats… can you share a picture guide on the hardware and process to connect to the FWAA for reflashing?

I have gchart’s programmer, and know how to run the installation of a Hex file… just not clear on how to make the connection to the FWAA, since there are no flashing pads

true but, the 7H and 10H menus only have 2 options, newer Anduril 2 has 4 options at each of those…

plus my anduril lights do NOT use any blinks in the ramp, the FWAA does, so I avoid using it. I would reflash just to kill the blinks.

I did 4 today, three FWAA’s and one of my FW3A to the latest Anduril 2, but didn’t take any pictures sorry. I’ll see if I can find the original guide I used a few years ago.

This way of flashing is actually the way I learnt. You have to de-solder the wires from the MCPCB and remove the driver, then use a SOIC clip to clip onto the attiny85, linked to a USBASP with dupont wires. I got it to around 10-15 mins start to finish on each light, so not too bad. But the new way with the pogo adapters is obviously a lot faster.

This!

It’s one of the main reasons I wanted to update mine. Plus the double click going to top of ramp did my head in. So having the option to decide what a double click did (turbo, always turbo) motivated me to flash them all.

Both of these pretty much explain the process:

thank you very much… I see I need a different programmer than the one from gchart for attiny16

plus a bunch of programs that do not work on my 2015 iMac… oh well… back to my trusty TS10

You should be able to use the same program you currently use. You’ll just need to change the programmer type in the drop down menu. So the only thing you’ll really need is the programmer, which isn’t that expensive.

I too like my TS10’s, especially the brass one! But I had a titanium and copper FWAA in particular that I wanted to update to have it working the way I wanted.

thanks for the info, I give up already… lol

I dont have a drop down menu, I use pymcuprog
avrdude does not work on my iMac

given all the hardware, software, and disassembly hurdles…
reflashing my TiCu and CuCu FWAA, is low priority atm
Im carrying a MAO TS10 instead.

congrats on your reflashing…
