Acebeam silently abandoned their X75 giveaway...

When their X75 model was released they put up their big giveaway to try and encourage sales, you had to own an X75 and enter with a beamshot of it. This giveaway ended on the 20th October and they have remained very quiet about it. I’ve asked on Facebook, BLF, and posted a question to their page only for it to not be approved. Others have asked and also haven’t been given a response.

I don’t care about my entry, but others that took the time to take photos and enter, it’s rather sad to not stick to their word.

I’m certain they didn’t get the sales and entries they thought would be the result. You don’t advertise a giveaway everywhere and then not follow it through regardless of the outcome.

Special Prize x 1: X75 (Photo is used as banner on www.acebeam.com)
1st Prize x 1: E70 MINI Titanium
2nd Prize x 2: Rider RX Titanium
3rd Prize x 5: Pokelit AA

Rule: If the contest ends without picking out the banner photo,The Special Prize 1 x X75 is cancelled.

If they didn’t get their photo they’re still supposed to draw 3x winners.

So you had to buy an X75 to win an X75? Righty-ho! I could have taken a good banner photo if they sent me one!

Yes, you had to buy one or use someone else’s to enter.

I should have taken a photo with an S2+ with high ISO, wide aperture, +5 exp in lightroom, 100% noise reduction and sent that in.

Well, Acebeam appears to have abandoned all communication with me, so this isn’t a surprise for me.

Acebeam have annoying pop up chat on official site, you can ask Ellen about it ;)))

At my age (eg. eons) few things surprise me. This is certainly not one of them.
IMHO this belongs in the “told you so” category.
