I have this xtar charger to charge 18650 batteries. In this scenario, I’m using recycled LG laptop batteries. This charger is supposed to charge at 1A on the outside slots. When I go to charge, the charge output drops to about .2A. After several minutes, the mAH meter stops flashing and the meter goes to zero.
I think it´s possible to charge with 2x 1A
But like some(many) other Xtar-chargers it decides itself how fast it charges, depending on the IR of the cells
Did it work with other cells?
I think I have it figured out. I was trying to top off a few cells to use as back up. They were already at 3.9-4 volts. The charger probably is kicking down the amperage to trickle charge the last bit. But I’ll run these cells down and see what happens.
