SST-20 Deep Red headlamp?

I am most active regarding flashlights in general on Reddit but, the headlamp threads over there are pretty focused on 18650 batteries and right angle options generally. I am not looking for something to light up distant items and want something really oriented more to camping, hiking, and farm use in a small and lightweight form factor. I really like 14500 batteries but, triple 10440 and similar options are a possibility. I'm not generally a fan of 16340 or 18350 batteries FWIW in a general use flashlight.

I need something that isn't overly bright to preserve natural night vision but, lets me avoid sticks in the grass (or is that a snake?) and won't blowout my eyes if I close the door on a porta-potty at a campsite or I'm looking at close range at something on my tractor. I am pretty specific about the Deep Red SST-20 for the emitter to avoid attracting bugs. Price needs to stay under $100 but, ~$50 would be a lot better. I am receptive to simple mods like an emitter swap that isn't too involved as well or something that will give me a very similar overall light performance. I wear a cap a lot so, something with an option to clip to the brim that could be aimed would be nice too because even after dark I wear my cap to keep collisions with tree branches and similar things to a minimum but, in cold weather it would need a headband of some sort for use with a watch cap (beanie?).

TIA, Sid

I think this is the clear winner?
