What would happen?

if (anything) one were to take a NiMH aa with the wrapper gone and put it in a alu/ss body.

Keith

If inside is not anodized, it (flashlight) would just become a twisty.

If the flashlight has a side-switch, it would work normally. If it has a tailcap switch, it would remain on continuously.

shadowww, keltex, very cool/interesting. Thank you very much. I was told on that "other forum" not to use them (no reason given) Hmm. I have a couple fairly new AA NiMH that I thought I could not use cause the wrapper"s are missing.

Keith

Tips without reason happen very often on the “other forum” - once I asked if WP2 II is any good there (back when I didn’t knew it indeed was), and I was told “Just buy a Pila IBC” without no any reason given. But after doing some research (here) I got two WP2 II’s instead (for price of one IBC), and I couldn’t be happier.

Just joking!

Just don't use them in your 2xAA flashlights.

id just wrap them in tape or buy some heatshrink for them. i dunno what "size" heatshrink to get though.

i rewrapped a UF 18650 because i wanted to see if it was a new cell or a used laptop cell (new btw) and you have to get a specific size wrap to get it to shrink correctly.

I've used an entire roll of this. It will do well over 100 AAs. Works great.

Thanks. Good point. they will only be used in single cell app. Could it short other batt? reverse charge? what? Could you please explain? so I may understand the reasoning? Not doubting you.

Keith

Tape turned out to be thick. But since you bring it up, my son brings home all sizes. I have a box full I had forgotten. Thanks for reminding me. I will give it a try.
