Looking for lux meter

Hi,

I think that it’s time, so I’m looking for a decent lux meter. I found this one at FT:

http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10003840/1274500-hs1010-illuminance-brightness-light-meter

Is that any good, or “good enough”?

What features in general to look for? I think that texaspro linked one from ebay, and actually I’d prefer one sourced/shipped from the U.S.

Thanks,
Jim

This is cheaper and has a separate body and head - more convenient in my opinion: http://www.gamesalor.com/product_4339_Lcd-display-Digital-light-meter-1-200000-Luxmeter-High-precision-portable-Light-photo-Luminance-meter-instrument.html

See my comparison with the popular (and more expensive) CT1330B here: CT1330B and HS1010A light meters - comparison

Hi,

Thanks for the info and for the review/comparison!

Jim

Yep thanks for the info.

P.S. I went ahead and ordered the one that you linked at gamesalor.

Glad I could help.

Wowsa, that was fast. They already shipped and provided a tracking #! Thanks!

Think I will also order one, I think this one of ebay is the same?? http://m.ebay.com/itm/400596531288?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1

Wow, has auto range, max-min, and Hold. Could come in handy.
Must try the accuracy, one way or another.
Bought it! $10.53. Now for the long wait….
