Ultraviolet led options

I want to build a nice ultraviolet led flashlight. I been looking at Led engin LZ1 emitters but is there any other true emitters under 400nm out there I can buy? I did some searches and didn’t come up with much.

There’s only one readily available 365nm true UV light. It’s the LedEngin one, available at Mouser. I made one, the led has a similar build and light emission pattern to the XP-G. So I put one in a C8. It’s really nice but 365 nm led’s emit a dim white visible light which needs to be filtered out with a wood’s glass lens. I had a local stained glass artist cut me a lens out of some wood’s glass I bought from B&H photo. This light is certainly one of my favorites since true 365 nm led flashlights rarely work as well as the one I built. And the ones that do cost several hundred dollars.

I’ve got a P60 style drop-in from Kaidomain it produces a little “white” light but nowhere near as much as others that I have.
It does everything a good UV light should.

Thats the one I had my eye on. Thanks for the info on the lens. I will be using it for A/C leak checks too. I have some glasses already.

I saw that and did order one yesterday. It really wasnt that expensive either!

Solarforce makes one that is a low voltage 3 - 4.2v max. http://www.solarforceflashlight-sales.com/product_detail.php?t=RB&s=11&id=44
Many custom builders do an excellent job with them also.

If look for a ultraviolet flashlight,and that emitters under 400nm,You should choose 365nm or 395nm.Try UVTK566 uv flashlight.Both 365nm and 395nm model
