Thanks for your thoughts OL. I agree totally with your comments on this one. I bought a few cheap at one stage and was a little disappointed with the quality when I inspected them. Making a new pill would be the way to go but the left hand thread put me of so went the way of machining it out and pressing in a solid piece of aluminium with a 3 amp driver. The beam pattern is not dissimilar to the HD2010 but with a smaller reflector. I had every intention of trying an MTG-2 in one but as yet other projects seem to push this one aside.
