I just had a look at Fasttechs new arrivals page and noticed an SME flashlight ( https://www.fasttech.com/products/1/10020308/4335100-sme-sme-t628-led-flashlight ) that looks interesting. Well, it’s cheap and fairly compact with a decent sized reflector, should be able to get some throw with it after it’s modded I think. What’s up with the massive screw heads at the back though, and WHY does the cheap producers of flashlights put the emitter name on the body!? Well, it does after all have built in self-defense against design after all, I guess that explains these things.
I’ve never heard of SME, does anyone have any ideas about how mod friendly they usually are?
With no information about the driver and pill/shelf design, it’s a bit of a risky buy I guess. Perhaps someone could get one for review? I’d ask them, but I haven’t even begun my modding career yet (still waiting for parts!), so I’m probably not the best choice for testing it.
