The problem with e-switches on this size of light and usb charging in general is that they are normally built onto the driver board and make driver swaps difficult.
One of the best things about Convoy’s is ease of modding, why take that away?

SKV89: Simon Mao:sounds like Convoy L4,
it’s better to make a new model
tactical button (Flashlight can not stand upside down ), side switch, micro-usb or type-c charging port.L4 is good but I like the idea of a C8+ type-C charge with tail standing. I like the C8 form factor because there are so many mods and parts made for that light. For instance, I want to be able to use L4P’s 6 emitter mcpcb

Totally agree. Keep it straightforward moddable!
/\ . +1 .
Simon Mao:Hello Simon.
I would like to add my wishes on new models of Convoy:
- A new emitter XHP50 3 volts has appeared. And I think this is a great opportunity to update old models with an XML2 emitter. Most likely you will not need to make any changes to the old models except for changing the emitter to the XHP50 3 volts, since the xm-l has the same footprint, as the xhp50. And most XM-L optics will work with XHP50 3 volts.
Please consider this opportunity. I would really like to see Convoy S3 and Convoy M1 with emitters XHP50 3 volts.- Produce frosted glass for existing models of flashlight.
I wish you success!
Which flashlight is that?

Simon,
I ordered a grey S2+ with a 4000K Ra95 SST20 and 4x7135 driver from Banggood and have received an e-mail from them stating:
“We’re sorry to inform you that the preorder for item ID:1420655 [Gray Convoy S2+ SST20 7135*8 7135*6 18650…] was delayed due to the manufacturing process.”This is the same product on your website.
Is there a manufacturing issue? I’m asking so i can decide whether to wait or cancel the order and order directly from your site instead.
No any issue with manufacturing,
Simon said earlier he want to get rid of knurling on S2+ because it is the reason for a lot of scrapped host. So this will be the new design instead of old knurling.
Hmm, wonder about “pineapple” knurling like on the TK05.
Fewer, wider cuts, probably less scrap.

That is a great idea! I really like that pineapple look.
+1 to the pinaple :)
+2!!
Simon Mao:only clear 18650 C8+ in stock currently ,sorry
the color of 21700 C8+ is black ,and it needs 20mm driver
Can you give me link for the Clear anodized 18650 C8+ ?
i add link here : clear C8+
Simon Mao: Inkidu: Simon Mao: Satan@103TFS:Simon could you include 22 to 17 mm. driver adapter in the package?
Currently no adapter,sorry
I was wondering the same thing. A 17mm Led4power driver + Luxeon Mz might be good match for this host. Give me a chance to use the MosDTP 4040 board (copper not aluminum)
Looking at the Ali Express pill picture of the S11, maybe the driver retaining ring could be flipped around. And it would create a smaller shelf you could solder the driver to. You would need to carefully cut slots on the inner diameter of the ring so you could tighten it down. What are the dimensions of the retaining ring? Looks larger than a 17mm opening but there are a few 17mm To 20mm Brass Adapter Rings on Ebay.
Thanks for any help.i will consider to produce some adapters if many guys need it
I would buy (10) 22mm to 17mm adapters. I understand you may need many more than that to justify the cost of making the adapters. I have many used 26650 cells that I would like to sell on with an inexpensive host. The newer 21700 cells seem to outperform the 26650 in every way that I can see and are manufactured by the major players.
My morning routine on my pc consist of checking my emails and then looking to see if any Convoy 21700 flashlights are available.
ok ,i will ask factory to produce some
I'll take some for myself as well when the link will be up :)

Which brand does the tk05 model belong to?
Thorfire. Also there's other flashlights with the pineapple knurling like the Thrunite Catapult V6, etc.
Amen to that My favorite UI so far would be the Sofirn C8F, pretty much similar to the olights, at least in ramping mode which is the only mode I’m using on it since I’ve got it as it’s the most intuitive one, the one mode that made the most sense to me. I have the tail click with mechanical on/off (still has the memory of the last used mode) then the side e-switch click for on/off, hold for ramping, hold from off to moonlight, double click from on/off to turbo and triple click from on/off to strobe (which I could very much do without… I’d rather have a beacon mode instead of any other disco mode on a light)
My favourite UI was the original version of Biscotti with a 10Hz strobe. Unfortunately the 2nd version had an alternating strobe frequency which killed any sales to light painting photographers.
Yes, for a single tail clicky you can't go wrong with Biscotti :)

Thorfire TK05.
Fewer, wider cuts, hopefully much less scrap and discarded tubes.

Thank you very much! (I like the product images )
Could you please update this page as well to include Clear host option?
