Those that have soldered large SMD inductors like XAL7070 or XAL7030 on your drivers, what was your method?
I’ve been using hot air station and I have troubles seeing when the solder paste melts, it seems to take for ever. I have concerns I’ve either not heated long enough (I’ve had an inductor fall off once) or overheated and fried some surrounding component. I’m looking for a more reliable option.
Note I’m not after generic suggestions, I’ve read plenty of suggestions from google searches, here I’m only interested on the methods of those of you that have done it.
