Any recommendations out there?
I currently use a Led Lenser P5R and now that I own some 18650 cells I’m sure there are some much brighter options for me out there.

My personal favorite is unuiquefire uf-t20,if you are willing to mod it with a harder driver or different led setup it's pretty impressive.It's a p60 size and has a larger head,again I don't know if that's what you are looking for.
i second that - uf-t20 is great, especially if you don’t zoom often (its a twisty and could use some knurling on the head)
another great option, small sun zy-c10-s - most throw of the lot, least flood. because it is xr-e but it also has the largest lens (and unfortunately, longest focal length)
My favorite is rather obscure, and not terribly bright compared to an XM-L, but still a top performer all around: The Tank007 TK-737. I reviewed it here.

Obviously it’s true lumen output would be about half of the advertised 1800 lumen, but it also includes a charger and 2 18650 batteries (not that I really need em)

I don’t mess around w/ cheap batteries and chargers, and the light is much cheaper by itself.

slightly bigger lens makes quite a difference, too
