Sorry about the shipping issue. I saw "free shipping" and assumed it was to almost any country. As a matter of fact I just tried Poland and Australia as test cases and they both seemed to be free. I guess I may be a little confused???
It is the non-Sipik that has $49.99 shipping. The Sipiks have free shipping (at least the couple I checked).

I guess it's buyer beware. You won't win dispute when you get one-mode, this is seller's version of "3-mode", and already explained in listing.
If you want one mode, I just purchased 3 silver-colored ones for $5.98 each, 40c cheaper. Look around ebay. (My seller jacked up the price to $7.35 already so no point giving link).

KumaBear, I cleaned up your links, your OP was 6 pages long! Most of these appear to be related to eletrading/amazplus which I linked to last month and bought a couple (link) for $7.89. They're real 3-mode, large loose lens, quality is worse than my t-mart single modes, but since they're cheaper than t-mart's 1-mode, I'm quite pleased with these. (Did I say I'm pissed at t-mart? Yes, I am, but it's not worth filing a claim for $2.) Eletrading orders from the same day arrived a week apart (10 days and 17 days), and best of all, they're compatible with the extension tubes. After the dollar price drop, I'm itching to get more like a true junkie, but seriously, why? First step is admitting you have a problem. s) I'll just play with the ones I have and watch in envy as you guys snatch up the 1000's of 3-modes at $6.6 s)
Could anyone point me towards the compatible extension tubes for these?
The first light isn't 18650 compatible unless you obtain a small 3/4 inch ring that adds length to the light . I've seen them occasionally in parts listings for lights from vendors but they are a bit of an oddball piece and probably not a great seller ..the light is OK for a cheap light but ones I got had real quality issues .I had one I bought from i think the same guy ..in california where the emitter had a bad blemish in the manufacturing of the dome ..

About the clever misuse of the 3-mode phrase by the two sleazy eBay sellers – you’re right and I should know better.
About providing links to sellers from whom I actually received real 3-mode Sipik 68 Clones, I’m sorry but I thought I mentioned a few quite awhile ago. I received one a long time ago and then 8 or 9 more just before the price jumped to over $50! (They must have been out of stock for the interim.) All 9 came packaged the same way and even though I ordered from at least 5 or 6 dealers (on eBay), all of the Clones arrived in exactly the same packaging, all from Peter Wong at AmazPlus. I am certain about that and I just looked around for the Clones and found 6 of them, tested them for modes and compared them and they’re all definitely 3-mode. As I said in the past, the first one that I received came with no printing on either side and all of the ones I received more recently say “UltraFire” on one side and “CREE” on the other.
eletrading was definitely the source for the very first (with no printing) as well as 2 or 3 of the more recent batch. The current link to their listing follows:

As a nice bonus, I actually think it's a better torch in it's own right than you'd expect for the money (just don't expect SK68 output). Appropriate the extension tube and you're left with a surprisingly ok single AA torch.

For a start, I'd bet they're all (ultimately) the same seller. And secondly, only this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/160775728149 ships to the UK. This is without doubt some weird condition imposed by Ebay, NOT the seller/s.
I'm very temted to order one, especially at the price, but so far there have been too many disappointments with the '68 Lotto. If any of these prove consistently good and reliable I'm in for a dozen (if they'll ship here!)

My ultimate goal is to do more than simply curing your MMSCDS. What I’d really like to do is to track down the manufacturer of the 3-Mode version and convince them to make a run of low-medium-high 3-mode lights (no blinking!) and maybe even include a glass lens. If they did that and upped the Quality Control a little, I think they could sell a huge number. (I’ve forgotten what it was but someone had another good suggestion for an improvement as well.)
No worries about the earlier posts. Remember, I’m still a Newbie.
And thanks for the links to the extension tubes. Will they fit the 3-mode or just the 1-mode?

Well, that's part of the lotto. Short answer is that both tubes will fit the same Spik clones, which means two out of the three 3 mode versions that I own (all three are slightly different from each other).
But one of these 3 mode models is an Ultrafire branded one which has a slightly wider bore battery tube, and the cheapo extension tubes won't fit this one. This is the model that won't tailstand due to a protruding switch cover. It's the only Sipik 68 clone I've owned - either one or three mode - that won't tailstand.
That's pretty strange. All but one of my 3-mode Sipiks say UltraFire and all of them can tailstand. Reminds me of my business trips to Las Vegas: "Place your bets gentlemen" - You put your money down and then see what happens.

Someone know a seller (with this price) that ship to Italy? Otherwise a (good) 3 mode driver suitable for AA and 14500 to swap the original one.
I got the extension tubes because of the pictures from Lensman,Lennart,Paranid, etc, some of which Lensman linked above. I posted some pics also of my own here (link), using the 2 extension tubes from Lensman's links, which I reposted here (extension tube link). Unlike the original 3-mode review (link)(best quality but would not fit extension), both my 3-modes "ultrafire branded" from eletrading from this latest batch fit the extensions perfectly, but are the worst-build quality I've seen (Bad-build example: uneven threads, dirty alum flakes everywhere, thick oily residue, bad knurling, signs of bad cast mold, thinnest bezel around the big lens, one has a rattling lens even when tightened, etc), but I can overlook these defects because of the price paid ($7.89) and the 3-modes. Also, because their boost circuit is so efficient and bright on 1 NiMH (1+ hrs) , there is no need to use the extensions. I'm repeating the links because people kept asking the same thing, thanks Lensman/Lennart/Paranid/etc again for the previous threads and pictures.
tl;dr For $6.69 now, 1000's available, go get some before they run out! Disregard the bad-build quality, you're getting a XR-E emitter and a 1.2v-4.2v Boost Driver for $6.69! What else is there to discuss?
You are not getting a 4.2V driver. At voltages above 3V you have a direct drive "driver", with insane current at 4.2V (although there is a slight possibility some batches might have a 4.2V driver).
