3*xml 26650 with the wrong price?

Would love to see some pictures if you’re set up for that.

Any news?

We just got our WF-666 in. It’s actually my brothers light - manxbuggy1. Looks good. It had one slight scratch on the head by the bezel, but not enough to worry about for a triple XML light at this price. The color is just slightly more silvery than the king I have, but still similar.
We always tests our lights lumens output via my lightbox, so that’s the first thing we did. It did pretty good. After 30 sec. it put out 1570 otf with a 4sevens 26650. With my Eagletac 18650 it dropped some to 1270 otf. Tried a cheapy ultrafire 18650 and it barely made it over 1000 otf. So obviously a good 26650 is the way to go. As a comparison my King tested at 2200 otf, my SR90 tested 2020 otf., and my S18 tested at 1170 otf. So the WF-666 does outstanding for a light that price.
We also tested its lux at 1 meter. It tested 19,800. Still not bad. My King put out 25,100 as as comparison. And my S18 tested at 33,000 lux. We will likely take it out tonite and test it’s true throw in a big park we have measured out in many meter ranges. The king we have tested right at about 350 yards to .25L. The S18 threw right at 400 yards. So we’re thinking the WF-666 should be close to the 300 yard range.
Anyway, we’re impressed with this light. Not quite as powerful as the King, but it was 1/4 the price.

Does the pill screw in or floater?

SOLD OUT

Just to clarify, the light that rdrfronty is referring to is the light in the op’s link. I was a little surprised to find it was a Skyray light for under $20 excluding shipping. We were pretty impressed with the output of the light. I received mine exactly 15 days after I ordered it.

I might be posting this in the wrong place. If so I am sorry and feel free to move it to its proper place. I would like to buy a good quality 26650 for my light and it seems like the king kong is rated as well as any so I guess I will probably get one of them. My question is this. They have 2 different types available. One is icr and the other is inr. Both are 3.7 vt and 4000mah. The icr is $7.90 and the inr is $8.50. I noticed also that mnke makes an imr. I dont know which to buy. Long run time isn’t an issue for me because I don’t leave on high for much over a minute at a time. This light is mostly a toy and wont see any real flashlight duty but it will get played with quite a bit. any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Rick

The MNKE is a well regarded cell.

Theses should help you decide which is best for you…
In a multi cell light I believe it’s the i.n.r that is recommended

I have the light in this thread, and either one will work just fine.

Just be sure not to mix the chemistry’s, as it could cause a problem

.

Sorry folks no beam shots. Only have a camera on a cell phone & it’s practically worthless.
I’ll try to get some photos of the light tomorrow & post them…

Right after I posted my nephew showed up so we took some shots with his cell.
Nothing special , but better than mine will do…

Actually a Pretty Good Looking Light . 8)

The heat sinking needs some work. :expressionless:
The only place that it actually makes good contacts with the body is near the driver.

Looks like a easy fix , some aluminum strips and foil should fix it right up……

I ordered the mnke imr cell. Should be in by weekend hopefully because I ordered from edc+ and his store is in California iirc. I can take some beam shots tonight when I get home. All I have for now are crappy ultrafire 18650’s. It loses a lot of lumens with this battery but still isn’t too bad. I love the light and cant wait for my mnke to come in.
