That was the conclusion of my earlier tirades. By the time you spend bux on, wait weeks for, and then do all the work to replace all the crap parts (plastic reflector, plastic front “glass”, crap switch, cheapcrap pill, etc.), you could’ve just bought a whole damned light with all good parts. And that’s assuming you’ll be tossing the emitter and driver.
Unless you really want the older versions with pills (as I did, for swapping at-will), you can get a 1000% better host from Convoy and be done with it.
When I ordered some stuff from Simon, I asked if he sold S2+ pills ’cause I didn’t see any on the menu, and he threw in 3 for free. Awfully nice of him, no?
