Yes, you could use that cell and be ok. On 100% it will stress the cell a little bit with the standard 5amp driver but it will still be safe and will run ok…may see the light output drop off faster and the heat buildup may be a little faster as well. If you can use a newer 18650 with a little more oomph that would be better.
I haven’t looked at his S2 offerings lately but he usually has several options available. Stick with the 5A-ish driver or lower. He has an 8A driver that would be a little too taking on this cell (he only uses that driver in some lights with emitters that can handle it).
