660nm deep red in your face looks yellow

Don’t ask how I found out.
I assume it is because your red cones get fatigued to high heck and a D4SV2 worth of red light stimulates your green cones enough that your brain sees yellow.
Even after shining it around long enough it starts looking less red and more yellow.

I get the exact same reaction, the LEDs clearly look yellow while my peripheral viewfield maintains a red glow.
I wonder how stressful (bad) high intensity narrow spectrum light is for our eyes…
