A budget bluetooth speaker options...

Well, after read a lot, the best option for less than 25$ are the arson er151 and the fivestar f808 but both have not got a new battery when it stops. I see a rugby speaker with replaceable bl5c battery from old nokias but lacks the bass.
And please, only chinese shops like fasttech, gearbest and so or ebay.com with free shipping to europe.

I just received this speaker:
http://www.gearbest.com/speakers/pp_2565.html
It’s SURPRISINGLY good! Feels very solid and heavy out of the box. Bluetooth, auxiliary input, and SD card playback all work fine, and the sound quality is quite impressive for the size. My friend has a $200 Bose cube speaker, and by comparison this little $13 Chinese speaker cranks out about 80% of the volume that the Bose produces. So far, battery life seems pretty good. All in all a great buy.

Its not really budget at $ 200 bucks, but i have a Sony SRS-X5 and it rocks big bass sound.

I got my fivestar f808. And it’s well. Good volumen/sound for its size!.

The super bass speaker in the first post, the second link, is what I bought last week and received from AliExpress yesterday for $10.08. I got it from someone shipping from the US. It just doesn’t last long enough on a higher volume, like if you want to really hear it while out cycling. Played some heavy bass music on it and it died out even quicker. So I took it apart, and saw the tiny battery when there was space for something twice as thick. Careful taking these apart, sparks fly and fires start as you try to pry out the battery. I’ll think about how I want to fix it to take an external battery before I get it working again. It advertises FM (and is a mode selection), but all I got is static for the FM. And the chinese girl voice prompts are so loud(no matter the sound level)—very annoying.

Looking for something with a replaceable lithium battery. Why is China making all these flashlights that take standard rechargeable lithium batteries, but they can’t do the same for bluetooth speakers? One below takes a nokia cell phone battery, and one I passed on said it had an internal 18650.

I’m currently looking at these, but waiting for the new year vacation to be over to make any new orders:

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2015-New-Mini-Super-Bass-Portable-Bluetooth-Speaker-Wireless-speaker-FM-Radio-TF-Card-music-player/32258505343.html - has a much larger battery if they are being “honest”, and I’m sure I can disable the lighting.

Any other suggestions that can be great on a bike or at home? I really don’t want to spend over $20, but if I was sure I could replace the battery with no tools then $30. I looked at the fivestar f808 and wondering about it’s bass. Passing up the Earson er151 as no memory card reader. Nothing beats the speed of AliExpress coming out of China, I don’t want to wait months on banggood or gearbest.

I also ordered one of these:

It’s a slightly larger square design with 210 cm^3 of volume vs 180 cm^3 in the round speakers. It looks like it would easily have room for an 18650. Might be more what you’re looking for one41?

@sb56637, that’s another nokia phone battery one. I’m mulling over whether or not I want to go that route. Generally speaking, I want the speakers bass vibrations to travel on any surface its speaker size is placed against. The one I got did that, just the battery was so underwhelming. I don’t know where to begin making a nice looking internal replacement battery compartment, on ones that have the space.

What I want now is something that puts out even more sound and has no annoying features*.

I have this: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/free-shipping-wireless-Super-Bass-speaker-Bluetooth-Micro-SD-Card-Audio-Mini-Portable-Bluetooth-Speaker-for/32271070477.html

It’s really garbage due to it’s small battery and 3w speaker. Radio doesn’t work—antenna spot on board not hooked to anything

I also have this now: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2015-New-Mini-Super-Bass-Portable-Bluetooth-Speaker-Wireless-speaker-FM-Radio-TF-Card-music-player/32258505343.html

It has a single 5w speaker and a 1200mah(tested) 18650 battery inside. Really easy to upgrade that battery too. The lights just suck for everyday use. The radio is great, it uses the front grid as it’s antenna. Is there a place to review this unit on this forum?

So, I want 5w+ speaker now or more than one 5w speaker. Also, no lighting, no superloud chinese lady telling me the modes. And all the things I’ve come to expect from these: TF card, usb drive input, radio, and bluetooth.

So many opinions here! Well here’s mine! I just got a logitech x100 and I love it. 5 hour battery life, rugged, loud, good bass, doubles as bluetooth speakerphone. Literally I love this little speaker.

I don’t know if this is considered budget…but I am blown away by this thing. Truly BIG sound from such a compact and clean looking device.

Ebay JBL Flip 2

You’ll be surprised by this budget bluetooth speaker doss soundbox touch it also has a great design and easy navigation.

Want to make sure they are 100% “waterproof”
If/when you open em up…take some clear nail polish and paint the PCB and components 3x times with it…sealed and done

Or you can get some of that silicon conformal coating from amazon…

Here, in Romania, one can buy this Tellur Electra - 10W, 8 hrs playback (2200 mAh), FM radio for about 23$: http://tellur.ro/Bluetooth-Speakers?product_id=1768
and the little brother Tellur Lycaon - 3W, 300 mAh battery, FM radio for about 11$: http://tellur.ro/Bluetooth-Speakers?product_id=1767

The first one is great (sound, bass) apart from the spoken menu in a incomprehensive chinese english. I bought 3 of them (for me and some friends).

They are made in China and marketed in Romania under Tellur brand.
Maybe you’ll find it (or them) sold under another brand on Aliexpress or somenthing.

I have an Anker Soundcore 2. Gets about 24 hours on a charge and sounds very good. It goes for $39.99 on Amazon.

I picked up a second hand soundbar for a TV.
It is mains powered, with bluetooth, USB and component inputs, and a remote.
OK bass. 2 x 10W.
They are sometimes on sale for $49 AUD in our local office supply warehouses.
I mounted it in my truck canopy, and also use it when working in the workshop.

Anyone have the Anker Soundcore Boost? It supposedly has the best bass
